WE DID IT! We won.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you to each and every one of you who believed in me. We could not have done this without the unconditional support of my family, especially my wife Nidhi and our two boys. This win was possible because of the hard work of our volunteer team, every voter who proudly cast their ballot for us at the polls or by mail, and those who supported our campaign with your generous contributions. I am truly humbled.

Over the past year, our campaign has allowed me to make countless memories and meet incredible people across the communities I hope to represent. Together, we built a movement for a more just, equitable and sustainable future for our children and neighbors. Our election victory means so much more than receiving the most votes. It symbolizes a new day for Michigan.

To my opponent, Ethan Petzold, congratulations on all of your hard work throughout this campaign. I look forward to working with you to keep this seat blue!

But most of all—thank you to my family near and far for all of your sacrifice and hard work to make our campaign even possible. Thank you to my campaign team who adjusted quickly and effectively to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is because of your hard work and energy that we built a grassroots campaign that made a difference.

Now, we have one more election to go! November 3rd will hopefully bring about the change we seek and with your help we will keep this seat Democratic!
