COVID-19
When I decided to run for office, it was a promise to serve the community I am so proud of. This same community needs our help right now, and I was happy to have launched our #doMIpart fundraiser to provide over 1,200 medical grade masks to frontline workers. With your help, we raised over $5,000 and supported our community. Together, we made a huge impact. I can’t wait to see how far we go, when we all go together.
Thank you for coming together to help support the folks who are fighting to keep our community safe.
See below for all the people your support of #doMIpart is helping to protect!
“We are beyond thankful for your generous donation.” - Jeniffer
Community members like Jeniffer Gamache-Kowalski, an RN working in critical care areas at Beaumont Hospital and who also helps with home care nursing. And, thank you to Chris Donley for your tremendous efforts making these vital community connections happen!
Thank you to retired UAW member Roy Gonzalez for helping us get these masks to Nurses at Beaumont Hospital in Taylor.
Together - we will get through this! #doMIpart
All heroes don’t wear capes! Thank you to Survivors Speak for helping to serve the community and ensuring the most vulnerable have access to food and necessities during this COVID19 outbreak. Thank you to Trische' Duckworth for your leadership! #doingMIpart
I’m so happy to support UNIFIED - HIV Health and Beyond and provide their frontline responders of the Mobile Unit with the medical masks they need. Their work in aiding people who use substances and are living with HIV is so vital and we need to ensure they are protected. The work never stops.
Protecting those who help to protect us. I was glad to visit the Belleville Police Department to provide some medical grade masks from our #doMIpart initiative. Thanks for your help in showing our frontline workers that we are grateful to them for their bravery and their service.
We have been strictly abiding by Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s stay at home order and keeping our kids home safe. When I told my 4yr old I was visiting the police department, his eyes lit up and I was glad he saw first hand how communities come together to help one another!
During this tough time, we have to stick together and help each other out where we can. I was so honored to support local business Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea Canton and hand out coffee and snacks to frontline workers at our local Meijer in Canton. These essential workers are putting our community first. Thank you for all your tremendous effort and sacrifice. 👊🏽
